Psychotherapy focuses on growth and change. Talking about what bothers us, and what works or does not work is at the heart of this process. In psychotherapy our assessing and understanding of who we are and what we feel makes it possible to become more aware. Talking it through helps us know how we got this way and how to change. Then we decide about the options we have available. This process also helps us to find ways to deal more effectively with situations, and to more consciously choose the way we behave and live our lives.

What I do
Darden’s work with couples and individuals draws upon diverse methodologies. He combines Eastern traditions, such as meditation, and Western practices, such as cognitive therapy and collaborative law. People set their own goals and realize results within a reasonable amount of time. Darden uses applied behavior realization: the principles of positive reinforcement help people get results.
